Schloss Limberg26 viewsCrown Tournament was at this site, called a castle, that didn't immediately look like a castle, but it was cool nontheless. It is a late renaissance castle. This is the area we had feasts in. The corridors to the various rooms made this pleasing design to this area of the building.

Courtyard13 viewsBehind the main building of the castle was a courtyard. On the other side of the courtyard was a chapel and narrow building including a balcony that overlooked the courtyard.

Our banners!28 viewsWe handed our banners to the event steward to hang up as they had asked for banners to decorate. Here are ours (left and right) hanging in a castle. That is Cadogan watching the Curia taking place below.

Queen and King at Curia53 viewsThis was the first Curia that I 'sort of' attended. I wandered around taking pictures, but heard enough to know that Curia means 'very boring way of going through and accepting minor changes to kingdom law'.

Schloss Limberg23 viewsThe castle itself had a bit of heraldry painted on it. The heraldtry of Styria (the region of Austria that we were in) includes this goat with flames coming out of it's mouth and ears. You can tell that this is later heraldry because in original heraldry the goat had fire coming out of all openings until it was decreed that it was above the neck only. There is a picture of a flag with the early heraldry in the Graz Armory gallery.
